The Zimbabwe Social Democrats is a political party whose
members are keen to see real democratic change in Zimbabwe. Our main thrust in
to promote debate on national issues and thus end the political culture of
millions who will follow leaders like sheep to the slaughter.
Zimbabwe had a real chance to end the Zanu PF dictatorship
if only MDC had implemented the reforms. It was bad enough that MDC leaders
were corrupt and incompetent but the fact that millions of Zimbabweans out
there also failed to realise the importance of the reforms showed the depth of
ignorance in the nation. We in the ZSD are determined that this must never
happen again.
Member of the ZSD are encouraged to actively engage in the
public debate using their names or whatever. The party issues press releases on
key issues which will constitute the party's position on the matter. It was
necessary to have someone to coordinate the members' activities and I am that
person. I can assure you that I am human with a body to be kick and a soul
to be damn.
You are most welcome to join us. Whilst we have done well
there is no doubt that there is a lot yet to do. The level of ignorance in
Zimbabwe is deep black night, a few candle lights cannot enlighten a nation the
size of Zimbabwe. You can start by commenting in the debate and get others to
do the same. I would like to know what you are doing and will also flag stories
you and your group should look at. We can discuss the next step after that
depending on how you get on.
ZSD will not take part in future elections in Zimbabwe until
all the democratic reforms have been fully implemented. There is therefore no
need for us to establish party structures at this stage.
